NATIVE

#1 Coastal: The San Juan
Like a coastal windswept look to your landscape? This is the perfect arrangement for you. Windswept/coastal gardens tend to have fewer plants per square foot and have a harder texture than other designs. Their beauty is in their structure and the color of the foliage of the plants. Combining larger plants that are prickly and sharp in texture with the smaller, one gallon sizes add the softness necessary for balance.

The San Juan has plant material such as…
Shore Pine, Mugo Pine, Juniper, Kinnickinnick., Wild Strawberry, and Barberry.

#2 Alpine: Glacier Peak
If you appreciate the outdoors and the beauty of our forests, you want Glacier Peak. With a rugged and distinctive Northwest flavor , this arrangement uses many plants that are commonly found in the wild or look similar to our native plants.

Glacier Peak plant material is similar to what you’d find in the wild…
Mt. Hemlock, Vine Maple, Mugo Pine, and Heather.

#3 NorthWest: The Olympic
Similar to Glacier Peak, this look is still very much for the homeowner who wants to capture the wildness of the Northwest. Adding more color and a softer look is what distinguishes The Olympic. The plants are more child friendly with fewer sharp edges yet the trees are rugged enough to take play but look delicate and inviting.

In the Olympic you will find…
Yew, Serbian Spruce, Dogwood, Rhododendron, Evergreen Huckleberry, Oregon Grape, Sword Fern, …and much more.

#4 Adventurist: The River Run
Are you a minimalist? Enjoy the feel of a day hike in the mountains without leaving your own backyard. These plants, firm in texture with year around color, look good when combined with a dry stream arrangement.

The River Run brings you choices such as…
Blue Spruce, Hollywood Juniper, Rock Rose, Smokebush, and Heavenly Bamboo.

CONTINENTAL GARDEN ARRANGEMENTS

#5 Asian/ Mt. Fuji
Do you desire a peaceful sanctuary where you can relax and escape from everyday stresses? The contemplative tranquility of a Japanese garden is one you can enjoy every day. Complimenting our Northwest climate, simplistic composition is what is important in this arrangement.

Your choices include plants such as…
Japanese Snowbell, Japanese Maple, Heavenly Bamboo, Pachysandra, and Japanese Bloodgrass.

#6 Mediterranean: Tuscany
Like visions of Tuscany, exotic characterizes this truly drought tolerant landscape. Much like a desert terrain, Tuscany is for the homeowner with older children or for areas where one would like to just sit and relax with a good book.

Tuscany choices include…
Windmill and/or Mediterranean Fan Palms, Leylandi Cypress, Yucca, Butterfly Bush, and Blue Festuca.

#7 English: The Victorian
If you like an “old world feel”, this may be just right for you. Full of color and texture that makes it inviting, you can have that old world feel without all of the upkeep of a traditional Victorian Garden.

Selections include…
Magnolia, Sweet Gum, Camelia, and Coralbells.

AMERICAN DELIGHT GARDEN ARRANGEMENTS

#9 Sculptural: De Vinci
Flowing with sculptural plants that give form to every season, The Di Vinci has a more structured look.

In the Cape Cod your choices include…
Redbud, Viburnum Tinus, Butterfly Bush, Camelia, and Clematis.

#11 Traditional: Queen Anne
The Queen Ann is another good choice for families of small children and pets. The stateliness of big homes with huge trees and lots of flowers and color characterizes this arrangement. Plant textures and colors are soft, giving a sense of endurance that is solid and inviting for the whole family
