A Gardening ranks as the number one hobby in America but it is no secret to anyone that many Americans are facing great time and financial challenges in today’s society, leaving little time to enjoy their favorite hobby. SimplyTerra was developed in response to that challenge. We strive to simplify the garden experience by making it easier and more enjoyable with successful and professional results.
Q How do you save me time and money by providing solutions to my gardening challenges?
A As owners of SimplyTerra, we have been landscape professionals for over 25 years (www.sunsetlandscape.net) servicing the greater Seattle area. We have taken all of our professional expertise and knowledge and combined it into landscape packages consisting of consultation, design, and plant delivery. These packages save you time and money by
- providing an accurate assessment of your needs, wants, and desires to assure that you make the best decision for yourself.
- providing you knowledgeable consultation and guidance so you have confidence to produce professional results.
- giving you a plan that provides for present needs and future expansion thus eliminating costly planting errors.
- offering at-home services such as plant material selection from a color catalogue and plant and bark delivery.
Q Do you guarantee your services?*
A Yes, we guarantee 100% that you will be satisfied with our services including the plant material at the time of delivery.** In fact, we are so sure you will be satisfied that you do not pay the final installment on your package until you have personally inspected what we have delivered.
* Guarantee good through the time of plant delivery. Where we will do our best to assure your gardening success, because we are not installing your plant material, we can not assume responsibility for any planting and/or follow-up care errors, such as lack of watering.
Q Is there a cost to have you come out and give me an Assessment & SimpleSketch?
A Yes and No. If you are interested in having a professional do part or all of the work for you, no. We can refer you to one of our Preferred Partners for a free estimate. If you want to do the work yourself, we have an initial fee of $75.00* (for 1 hour and then $20.00 for each additional 15 minutes) for the Assessment. That initial 1 hour is usually sufficient. If you decide to either purchase one of our packages or have a design created, we incorporate that $75.00 into the over-all cost of your project. The designer will also develop a SimpleSketch for you so you can have a visual presentation. If you like it and do not need a design, you can purchase it for the small fee of $30.00.
*Areas north of Marysville may incur a slightly larger cost because of the additional travel time.
F Please explain to me what an Assessment & SimpleSketch ™ is.
A One of our designers meets with you and based on answers you have provided from a questionnaire and a personal evaluation of your outdoor area, he or she provides you with a written assessment, a sketch of your potential project, and a package best suited for your needs.. Your sketch will include areas for entertainment, such as a play area for your children, or a patio for barbequing. Recommendations will be made for correct plant placement taking into consideration such things as soil, growth, and color. He or she will also suggest one of eleven garden arrangements we’ve developed. These garden arrangements include pre-selected plant material to help make your garden experience as enjoyable and easy as possible.
Q How do I get my Assessment & SimpleSketch?
A Easy! The fastest way is to complete a questionnaire and submit it to us. As soon as we receive your questionnaire, we will set a time for one of our designers to meet with you. A We’ve simplified the landscape process into three packages consisting of consultation, design, and plant and bark delivery. Each package has eleven different garden arrangements with pre-selected plant material to choose from.
Q If you give me a simple sketch why would I need a professional design?
A A simple sketch is simply what it says…a sketch. It is very general and the purpose of it is to give you a framework to work by and help get your creative juices flowing. A design is much more detailed, providing you with color balance, scale adjustment, growth expansion, and a listing of your plants with colors and attributes. In addition, as the designer is creating your design, he/she gives more thought to your project and may suggest improvements that enhance original ideas.
Q What is the difference between the three packages and how much do they cost** me?
A Ranging in price from $695.00 to $2,420.00, all packages include consultation and plant delivery. The main difference between our smallest package, The Simply Delivered, and the others is that it doesn’t include a design. Well suited for project managers, it is also perfect for small renovations and homeowners with budget concerns. Our premier package, The Simply Terra, contains additional consultation time and the largest selection of plant material. The Simply Designed is our mid-size package.
**Prices are determined according to the types and amount of plant material in the garden arrangements that we have developed. The amount of plant material does not necessarily correspond to the size of a project but is based on design and need. Packages prices are subject to change. Prices as noted on this website are guaranteed.
Q How do I know which package is right for me?
A Based on answers you give us from the questionnaire and the personal assessment you receive from one of our designers, recommendations will be made based on your needs and wants and budgetary concerns as well as area situation.
Q Once I purchase a package, how long from initial consultation
to plant material delivery does it usually take?
A Usually, anywhere from 11/2 weeks – 3 weeks depending on the package you have chosen. However, this can also be influenced by variables in your particular situation and events beyond our control such as weather or plant unavailability.
Q What if I want someone to do all or part of my project for me?
A No problem! With our network of Preferred Partners we can refer someone to you for a free estimate. We have taken the risk out for you by pre-screening them to make sure they meet our standards of top-notch customer service along with detailed and quality work.
Q How long have you been in business?
We are the new kid on the block but not new to the landscape profession. The founders of SimplyTerra have owned and operated a full-service landscape company, Sunset Landscape & Design, Inc. in the greater Seattle area since 1985: www.sunsetlandscape.net
Q What region to you service specifically?
A Our primary concentration is South Snohomish County (Marysville and south), however we may consider certain other areas in the greater Seattle area and North Snohomish County.
